Frankie's Pizza and Grill is a branch of the famed Naples Pizza concept and offers a casual combination of the two current locations, blending the casual side of Naples Pizza with the more upscale dishes of Franco's.
Frankie's Pizza and Grill has its roots in New Haven, Connecticut where Naples Pizza Corporation was established by the Prifitera family over 40 years ago on the Yale University Campus. That restaurant was located right next to the Yale school of music and across the street from the famed Woolsey Hall. Everyone from Bill Clinton and Jodie Foster to Yo-Yo Ma and Mick Jagger passed through that Yale restaurant, and they even stopped to carve their names into the wooden tables that are still there at that location! Now, here in Spring Hill, Tanya Prifitera and her husband Dinho have established a branch of this corporation in their new concept of Frankie's.
In late 90's the Prifitera's relocated to the hill country outside of San Antonio, Texas where they opened two more Naples restaurants and a fine dining branch of the corporation called Franco's Italian Restaurant and Lounge. These restaurants feature thin crust, hand tossed pizza as well as the popular appetizers, sandwiches, salads and classic Italian dishes that everyone seems to love. All ingredients are made fresh on the premises including the pizza dough, sauces, sausage, meatballs, burgers, breads, etc. Naples even ages and grinds its own mozzarella and blends part skim cheese for a more health conscious pie!
Tennessee has always been a favorite place for the family to visit, and they made frequent trips each year to different parts of the state for family vacations before finally deciding to be full time residents and move the Naples' concept to Spring Hill! Frankie's Pizza and Grill is a branch of the famed Naples Pizza concept and offers a casual combination of the two current locations, blending the casual side of Naples Pizza with the more upscale dishes of Franco's. Frankie's will use locally grown produce and meats as much as possible and promises to keep the freshest ingredients in all of its dishes.
The Prifitera family looks forward to bringing its flavors to Tennessee. A long history of success and growth in the restaurant business assures that this next venture will be a great one. Good company and good food…Frankie's is here for the locals as a family destination where friends and family can meet up and share a great meal!
"We are so excited to finally be residents of Tennessee! I've loved the culture and beauty of the state for over twenty years and getting to move there and open our restaurant is a dream come true. I just hope and pray that our food is well received, and I promise to grow and change as we go to make our customers happy." -Tanya Prifitera
